Covid Vaccines Given Outside of the UK

UMC is unable to 'vallidate' Covid vaccines given outside of the UK.  We are happy to add any vaccine to your medical records, however this will NOT update the NHS App or provide you with a 'Covid Pass'.

The NHS is providing a service to do this at selected vaccine sites across the country click here.  This service enables you to book an appointment to show evidence for any coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccinations you've had outside of England. This is so the NHS can securely update your vaccination record.

Who can use this service

You can use this service if you:

  • are aged 18 years old or over
  • have an NHS number
  • have received one of these MHRA-approved vaccines outside of England - Oxford/AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty), Johnson & Johnson (Janssen) or Moderna (Spikevax)

As yet, there are no sites offering this service in Canterbury, this page will be updated when more locations are available.

Where a patient cannot get their overseas vaccine recorded, for example, because they live too far away from one of the vaccination centres offering this service, the patient can still access subsequent doses for which they are eligible through attending a walk-in vaccine clinic.

Please also see Gov.UK for details of approved proof of vaccine documents.
